The game begins with the Dads scattered around the map. The Dads are given some gear from the wreckage of their ship, but not enough to get them off the planet they've crashed on. They also get a pet Chicken.

Your faction will be a colony.
Start with 5 people.
Your people will be between 25 and 53 years old.
Arrive in drop pods.
Player starting characters have a 25% chance to start with trait: Gay
Player starting characters have a 30% chance to start with trait: Optimist
Start with research: Brewing
