VI - Arcabuz Siege Station [VANILLA]

描述
The first model released by Vitória Indústrias. Named after the portuguese word for the arquebus (the early form of the matchlock rifle), this siege vessel is the perfect weapon for your artillery needs.

Shaped like the common satellite for deception, this ship is capable of firing a 3x1x6 projectile weighing over 100.000 kg (provided both artificial mass blocks are activated) at a full 409.7* m/s (1474.92 km/h). The impact of the shot is truly devastating and, in testing, it was capable at max speed of penetrating through gravitational shielding of up to 20Gs** with minimal loss of power.

*On modded server.
**Shielding tested at a 90° angle. Results are shallower angles may vary.

Due to its propulsion system consisting of three rings of Gravity Generators that push the projectile to imense speeds, this station will lose power or not function in planet orbits. It is equipped only with Ion Thrusters, and therefore cannot keep itself hovering in the presence of an atmosphere.

Instructions [FOLLOW THESE PRECISELY]:
1) Detach the missile from the hull of the ship and set its ownership to be yours. Save the missile as a blueprint. Set the ownership of all blocks of the Arcabuz to be yours.
2) Enter the flight seat. The barrel points in the reverse direction of it.
3) Use button 1 to take control of the ship's remote. This will invert your controls to be in line with the cannon's facing.
4) Make sure the projector is loaded with the blueprint of the projectile and that the projected Merge Block and the ship's Merge Block are aligned and facing each other correctly.

Firing process:

1) With the ship at a standstill, use the camera present in the Remote Control's toolbar to adjust your aim. Remember that the camera is on the block above the barrel's exit.
2) Make sure the Gravity Generators are off. This is extremely important.
3) Make sure the ship's Merge Block is on and turn on the Welders. This will manufacture the projectile.
4) Turn on atleast one or both Artificial Mass Blocks.
5) Turn off the Merge Block
6) Turn on one of the stages of the Gravity Generators. Stage 1 activates one ring, 2 activates two and 3 activates all three of the Generator rings. The more you turn on, the more powerful the shot, but the bigger the power drain.

At this point, the shot will fly at ludicrous speeds towards your enemy. Do keep in mind that any gravitational field could skew the shot. It is reccomended to do scouting on the target to ensure effectiveness.

To reload:

1) Turn off the Gravity Generators.
2) Turn on the Merge Block and Welders.

DO NOT SWAP FIRING STEPS 5 AND 6. If the Merge Block still connects your ship while the Art. Mass and Generators are on, your entire ship will be pulled forward at high speeds by the gravity well, potentially causing crashes. Do not move while firing, as it could cause impacts inside the barrel and damage the interior components.

Despite this ship's power, its lack of manneuverability and the unguided nature of the shot make poor against moving targets. It is reccomended to a support vessel near it, possibly some fighters as well for defense. The Arcabuz itself is equipped with four Gatling Turrets for self-defense against Small Grid assailants.

The Arcabuz is also equipped with a jump drive for fast travel and includes a small-grid rotor-trick set Wide LCD panel with Phil's Ship Diagnostic's prepared on it. If the ship is built in survival this won't be built because of the incompatibility of projector grids, but the design is simple enough to finish building by hand.

Hope you have fun with this powerful siege vessel. Good hunting.
