This one based roughly on a historical model actually turned out to be an incredibly effective design. She's fast for a submarine, with good handling and cuts through the waves like a razor. Her downside is that she only has one gun, but her smoothbore design paired with the U-47's unbelievable smooth run makes it an ideal weapon for sniping at extreme range. Seriously, I never had a gun that accurate. The sub lies very low in the water, with the most important parts covered at all times while still allowing the gun to keep firing continously. However, you might lose the periscope - I had a MKII with heavier armor, but I wanted her to be Class III.

Pro-tip: If you go full speed while being dropped, you can make for that famous submarine jump out of the water! :)
