VC “LAV” Light Armored Vehicle

Favored among VC ground command, the LAV is well equipped to engage a variety of targets with a reasonable probability of success and crew survival. The LAV can be crewed by as few as one, but it can accommodate up to four. This gives the LAV a modest troop carrying capacity as well.

Because the LAV’s are often expected to bear the brunt of danger, they are often covered in spare parts, and boast a substantial cargo capacity to store even more replacement components, and, of course, ammunition.

The LAV’s internal repair welder and vehicle repair projector work together to simultaneously repair all three turrets and the forward cockpit when needed.

The LAV is able to achieve reasonably high speeds safely and corners quite well considering its mass. It uses the same stability system as the scout car and ARV but its heavier frame means it cannot skim the surface if it rolls. This deficiency is made up for, however, by its wider and more stable wheel base, meaning roll-overs are less likely. However, under the right conditions, they are certainly possible.
