Stronger Group Combat

描述
You lift your head up, to see the face of your attacker, before you get a glimpse, they drive in the killing blow.
And all you can think about before that, is all they asked for was some bread. which you did not have. This sad cruel world is finally at a end for you, but your squad mates still continue to fight the hungry bandits.

And so Begin's the battle in Stronger Group Combat.

What does this mod change?

  • Enemies are roughly 1/2 to 2 times stronger then average vanilla
  • Enemy Groups can have larger amount of NPCS, and more Lieutenant and or Bosses
  • Dead hives are larger and stonger
  • Non Base race Enemy bosses have 2x to 3x the amount of normal hit points.
  • Meat adjusted so all flesh animals drop meat, but in lower amounts.
  • Attack slots is at 2x instead of default 1x
  • All NPCs have their own stats instead of only a couple in vanilla.
  • With higher risks come higher chance of better loot, higher chance of having their default Armour upgraded.
  • Robotic NPC's are no joke, they are stronger, faster and deadlier.
  • Certain Robotic spiders drop AI cores but are much stronger then normal.
  • Suicide notes found in certain large creatures. with higher chances of good loot.
  • All bosses are much stronger and deadlier and some include new weapons.
  • Increased Nest Spawns, Increased total amount of allowed nest spawns, bonedogs are now all over the map.
  • MA skill added to everyone. be careful disarming your opponents.

Future plans

Continue work and adjustments to refine a better but harder experience.
Most everything i want in this mod is in. it is basically Feature Complete.
i'll most likely still do future adjustments if i still find it lacking

This is my mod and i made it to how i want to play the game.
Anyone is more than welcome to make patches that tone down the parts they want to be toned down.
Also currently all my mods are considered finished products. development has stopped until Kenshi 2 comes out.
Then i will port these mods over to the Second game.

Depending on what they do, I might not need more than this mod and like personal tweaks. Crossing my fingers cause an expanded better vanilla on a better engine would satisfy a majority of what I want. I like all the expanded town mods for example and depending on the era they do, we could end up with more minor factions to mess with.

What're your main hopes with Kenshi 2 atm?

That's fair, so I thought to just mess around with the faction populating given the opportunity, if Kenshi 2 does a similar thing and nothing much changes in the modding tool. Gate guard residents will only fill up to the number of gates in the town, so if you wanted to really pump their numbers up, it'd have to be squad numbers. And since the AI package has the excessive guards guarding the town, it would free up building space if that's needed. Though the barracks could become quite the clown car lmao.

I never put any emphasis on the Shinobi's
mainly as i never really interacted with them in my games.

Oh funnily enough, the one faction change you did for Mongrel btw, actually took out the Shinobi tower with another barracks group inside it instead cause of the increase of priorities and numbers. If I set the thief guild to the highest priority, they returned.

And I have to thank you sorta indirectly too cause I found out a minor faction mod forgot they left a lot of the market stall crap in their shit and polluted things. I saw market stall stuff while checking the Mongrel faction and definitely didn't remember putting those in. Sorry, I had to rant on tangent for a bit.

Fuck, hadn't exactly thought about the playtesting mostly because I'm messing around with LOK and rearranging modded and untouched character to sorta match the scaling going on there. Your mod helps cut out a good chunk of the work for vanilla stuff.

But yeah, playtesting would be a pain in the arse more so, god speed. Also, fucking wished they didn't leave in stuff that never got used, natural armor looked so cool until I realized it don't work. A bummer of a concept, yet somehow backpack/belt armor can work but you can't assign a backpack clothing to an animal otherwise that would've been a fun alternative.

editing was the easy part.
playtesting it was the hard part after many adjustments considering also had to keep reloading the game. couple hundred hours of gameplay was dedicated just to testing it all including player feedback.

Honest to god, I've been essentially using your mod as a starting base for doing the same number and stat changes to a whole modded list of my own making, and I gotta respect the effort alone of editing it all by hand. If Kenshi 2 is all manner of fucked, I'll be willing to help out editing for the mod port doing the tedious number shifting.
