MOD-ID TAG = #698635602
DESCRIPTION = LoadOut Flags
SUMMARY = Each soldiers' Nationality Flags are displayed during the Squad LoadOut phase.

You can also precisely configure their size and where they show up into the Unit Panels.


INSTALLATION NOTES

1) This version has been calibrated for my own "Button'ized" (200+) Flags from the qUIck_FLG mod package. If you prefer the Vanilla (or from other mods) purely rectangular images of 128x64;

-- The FLAGS_XLoc (=202) default value from the XComqUIck_FLO.INI file (in the Config folder) will need to be lowered @ about (=184).
-- Ideally the default FLAGS_SCALE (=0.70) sizing of 70% should be okay for them. Up to you if you want smaller or even bigger scales! ;)

2) If you play with TrackTwo's Upgrade Reminders.. you'll most probably have to move his tiny Icons somewhere else as well. Otherwise, they'd simply overlay the Flags!

-- Both his Config settings WEAPON_Y_POSITION=218 & PCS_Y_POSITION=218 need to be set @96 for them to be re-located straight into the Primary Weapons area.. for example.

3) Of course.. you can move stuff around that panel and resize as you see fit. The framework Grid is rather simple and you should have no troubles figuring out what else & how anything should be altered.


CURRENT ISSUES

FIX!) The previously mentionned "Panels refresh states" flaw has been resolved in a quick chat with InfectedM... as predicted, an extra function loop was necessary.

The Avenger-Defense LoadOut mode isn't compatible with this indirect process. Even if it is a minor issue.. sadly, there's nothing i can do about it. I suspect the final missions duo (Tower + Fortress) will react in a similar way.


FUTURE PLANS

The Tactical Layer could receive similar elements too. I'm presently examining the Info ToolTips script to insert Flags & Country names at the bottom of the Stats list along with a supplemental "MOBILITY" value line. May take awhile though.

Sorry.. never could really find what "SquadSelect" broke in my panels & @Robojumper made it clear he wouldn't try adapting his code to mine -- which *IS* the only way to push the custom flags right where they should.

Still not working with squadselect? I use all your other LW mods, but squadselect is essential.

Might work with WotC but still doesn't when using Robojumper's "SquadSelect".

If something needs to be done to the Listener script -- dunno when i'll get to it... exactly.

Sorry.. no can do. Unless RJ alters its Panels structure.. the "Vanilla" setup requires my script to hook at each individual slots.
I've already asked him to modify the current X-Button state (remove) to make way for any Flag inserts, but he hasn't replied. So i have to assume he'll never accomodate my tiny device.

Hard to tell without knowing if your Flags are correctly defined by the suggested INI settings. There's also an inherent flaw created if someone is using LW-ToolBox as that mod makes various changes to the LoadOut Vanilla/functions which i have no control over & these would prevent mine from working as intended even with regular rectangular Flags.
Sorry, can't help you any further than that.
