描述

Rainfall brings simulation depth and new gameplay elements to the primarily cosmetic game concept of dynamic weather that was introduced with Snowfall. When the game is raining, this mod adds a water sources in a grid over a selections of tiles specified in your options up to 25 tiles (some functionality up to 81 tiles with a current 81 tiles mod). You must create and manage a storm drain network in order to protect your city from suffering the effects of flooding. You should be aware of and plan out the grading of any zoned roadways and add storm drain inlets to any low points in the roads. Options for Storm Water Management include surface ponds, underground detention systems, canals, and riverine channels.

Storm Drain Assets (Separate Mod Subscriptions required)
See Rainfall Collection
You must subscribe to at least one inlet and one outlet in order to create a storm drain network.
Many assets may require additional prop and/or mod subscriptions. See individual pages for details.

Storm Drain Inlets and Pumps direct any storm water that is collected to Underground Detention Basins within the same district first, and then to Gravity Storm Drain Outlets and SD Force Main Outlets in the same district once the Detention Basins have reached 80% filled. Anything not included in a district is actually in District 0. You cannot actually draw storm drain pipes, but all storm drain assets must be connected to your sewer and water system. They only require 1 water and 1 sewage. They do not contribute to the water or sewage because storm drain water is kept separate.

The Storm Drain Assets by themselves can be used to transport water throughout your city. You may even elect to turn the Global Runoff Scalar down to 0 so that you don't have to deal with stormwater, but can still use these assets to move water around your city or clean up after damming mistakes and demolished canals.

Problems and How to Fix Them
Except for problems related to sewer and water connections ignore what the problem actually says, and look at the text under the description of the asset when you select it.

For These Problems:
Transit Line Not Connected
Landfill Full
No Place For Goods

See Official Rainfall Guide

Other Options
#RainForecast Chirps: At the beginning of a non-vanilla storm simulation you will get a chirp with data about the upcoming storm event.
#Rainfall Chirps: Random chirps that relate to the current intensity of the storm
Prevent Rain Before Milestone: Turns on or off whether the mod prevents rain from happening before you reach the milestone where the basic storm drain assets are unlocked.
Prevent Building Upgrades from Increased Landvalue due to Rainwater: Turns this feature on or off. This does not help with water than remains or is still flowing once it stops raining. I recommend utilizing retention ponds with a ground water asset which always have some water in them.
Previous Storm Options: Options on how to handle loading a game that is already raining.
Building/Roadway Flooding/Flooded Tolerance: Allows you to change the amount of water depth required to causes problems to occur in Buildings and Roadways.

Known Issues
"Random Water Sources"
Sometimes a water source will appear on the map that is larger than most runoff water sources and persists afterward.
Status
Added a Water Source manager that tries it's best to eliminate these. If it misses something you can use the water tool from Extra Landscaping Tools mod to release (delete) nefarious water sources.
81 Tiles
Critical Errors related to placing inlets/outlets outside of 25 tiles range.
Problems with district control beyond 25 tile range.
Status
Fixed Critical Errors related to placing inlets/outlets outside of 25 tiles range with V2.03.
District control issues have not been fixed.

@CitesSkyliner In those 2 years, I've been developing mods for Cities Skylines II including: Anarchy, Better Bulldozer, Tree Controller, Water Features, Recolor, and I took over the Move It mod. I have been busy but not working on Cities Skylines I.

Its been 2 years! Where is any update?

@IDK Thank you for your kind words. I'm so glad you've had so much fun with the mod.

Just wanted to say this is one of my all time favorite mods, been using it for so many years! If anyone like me loves the mod but always found most of the workshop maps didn't simulate runoff well with seasonal streams, rivers, floodplains, mountain tributaries ect, I recommend checking out my latest map Cheyenne County, I tried to design it particularly with this mod in mind! Thank you [SSU]yenyang for your years of dedication to this incredible mod!

An 8x multiplier from my experience would cause crazy flooring like you said, I usually like to play with x2 for my cities but if you play around with that maybe you will find something lower or higher is what you are looking for for a more subtle effect.
AlienXtream 11 月 23 日 下午 2:02
oh. is that a rainfall multiplier? its set to 8x (i played it once before then stopped playing CS for a long while before returning). i just assumed it was a passive draining modifier. as for storm drains... well... when i say the whole map flooded i mean it... sea level was functionally raised by real world equivalent of like... 10-15 metres.
[SSU]yenyang  [作者] 11 月 23 日 上午 8:17
@AlienXtream There's a global scalar value that I think is what you want to tone down. You are supposed to build storm drains to collect the water and move it somewhere else. I don't know if you did that.
AlienXtream 11 月 22 日 下午 11:58
what settings would i change if i wanted this to be a more subtle effect that would only become an issue in massive torrential downpours/storms (such as disasters events) or from egregiously bad design like a landlocked depression. i ran the mod on a relatively flat area and the whole map just flooded from a single rain event. sea level basically submerged medium height apartment buildings

@TyThyGreatest You could use it on a snowfall map, but whenever it snows i think it will produce runoff. The runoff wouldn't be delayed to simulate snowmelt. it would happen the same as rainfall I think.
TyThyGreatest 8 月 20 日 下午 2:58
Does this work with Snowfall? or does it only do rain
