JAPAN:
original scenario for Age of Empires 2:
FFA (everyone is enemy at the beginning, with locked teams) or diplomacy (unlocked teams chosen by the host), standard victory game with accurate civilization and geography (original map with mountains, cliffs and hills on the right spot).
You need expansion pack here.
The game is like random map settings but with real geography.

SETTINGS: auto: all neutral to be able to trade and make no genocide, just conquer land and slaves.
Lock teams to not allow diplomacy (you can choose free for all, or diplomacy game as host).

Hints:
Japan has not a lot of land so not a lot of wood and savage animals but lot of gold, stone, islands and fishes (lot of sea).
Some begin alone on an island, some with one enemy or two.
So don't forget to explore and trade (especially by the sea: so don't destroy all enemies docks), and don't waste your wood and space with too much farms and too much wood constructions (searching "redemption" can be good to convert ennemies buildings and save your wood)!
Beware of ships and don't hesitate to land on another land (because defend a wonder here can be very tough but not impossible if you choose a good location, far enough from the coast!)!

Player 1 (blue): Tokyo/Japanese; P2 (red): Kyoto/Japanese; P3 (green): Morioka/Japanese; P4 (purple): Kyushu/Japanese; P5 (teal): Shikoku/Japanese; P6 (grey): Hokkaido/Japanese; P7 (yellow): Korea/Koreans; P8 (orange): Mongolia/Mongols.

All players are starting at the dark age with (like standard random map):
1 TC (Town Center)
1 scout cavalry
3 villagers
200 food
200 wood
200 stone
100 gold
