Valuable Veterans

描述
The pretense around this mod is that makes Veterans more valuable in the army. As in most Total war games veterans are only a little bit better than standard troops, this changes that.

It adds a significant morale (leadership) boost for Veterans and makes them better at Melee attacking and defending, meaning they become some of the best units in the army, and the least likely to break.

It is save game compatible.

It works on all races.

Known issues:
The Skaeling and Varg's smithy buildings add 3 ranks per building - with three buildings in a region they can create armies full of rank 9 (3 gold cheveron) units, which this mod buffs. The grim and the grave DLC gives Vlad Von Carstein a huge bonus to unit veterancy after level 4, if you want to remove (well nerf to the point it is useless) then this addon is highly recommended: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=760140713

Sorry, for double post, Steam doesn't allow for edits here.

It is a very nice mod that allows you to choose between your very own cadre of Conans / Space Marines or a more generic WHFB army. Which is awesome, especially on Ghorst side.

Perhaps you could update the RoR(Renown) somehow? Even though they are max Chevron, I wouldn't necessarily give them max benefits of the mod, given that they are so easy to get. But then again, 1 / army(perhaps even 1 / Faction)...you decide.

Wulfrik would get so OP so fast with this. Due to Berserkers + Chariot and Chariot hitting like 3 Gold Chevrons some 20 turns in(at the latest)...all hyper buffed Berserkers(by default) + this(them being AT LEAST one Silver Chevron)...

...lol! Like you needed more help for that campaign! <3

oof :lunar2019laughingpig: i do have larger units mod as well so they are levelling up stupid fast and getting rank 9 basic units

@Rayge, they really aren't, I play on V.hard all the time and still feel like enemies run off too quick, but maybe that's just the way I play with lots of flanking and rear attacks. But if you aren't up to the challenge there's a quarter and half effect versions ;)

Nice idea but playing on very hard enemy armies are basically unbreakable :/

@bladeuk none of the mods that let RoR gain XP work, they all got abandoned. Please if you can add, add it to your mod or a sidemod, yours is the only reason i play this game.

There are mods on the workshop which add experience gain to RoR, best thing to do is to use one of them and then this mod works over the top... I can add it too the mod, but I don't see much point when there are mods which already do this that work perfectly well alongside this one, it would also cause issues with people who don't want this addition.
