Condor Mk IA

Hello! I bring you the Condor, a Pelican inspired dropship for both moving people back and forth, and moving cargo/light vehicles around, and! It is fully vanilla. No mods, so you can use it wherever you wish without any worry of a certain mod not being installed. There are three versions, the Mk IA, Mk IC, and Mk IC-1.

This, as you can tell by the title, is the Mk IA.

I was wanting a Pelican like dropship to just sorta cruise about in doing my daily nonsense in SE with, only to find there weren't really any good ones that function in planet atmosphere/with latest updates. So I plopped my MegaBloks one down in front of me and got to work making my own version, and this is the result.

Its my first ship with retractable landing gear, that function properly.

BE WARNED. This will summon the wrath of Clang on MP, and if you go to max speed, safety lock has a chance to detonate the rotors and pistons, resulting in the destruction of your vehicle.

So due to this I've made two additional versions.
The Mk IC, which has gear locked down. This is basically a cosmetic/people carrier only, as the landing gear block the maglock for cargo transport.

And the Mk IC-1. This version has the gear locked up, no pistons, no rotors, no anything. Lands on its belly stabily and can pick things up with ease, even easier than this version.

Cargo and Performance.

This can carry a whole manner of vehicles and cargo. Max carry weight that I've tested is a cargo container with the mass of 412,000. It carries it just fine.

A note about vehicles. IF your vehicle has a turret, this could make it easier or harder to pick it up, as the turret has a 5x5x5 invisible collision box. The good thing about this, is that landing gear can lock on to this invisible collision box. And the bad thing, is that it could obstruct your transit of a vehicle, if you have more than one.



If spawned in creative. Its got full fuel, and each seat in the back has a rapid fire rifle and 5 magazines of ammo. The cargo rack on the roof also contains an elite rifle with some ammo in the white box, and more ammo in the green box. This will remain the same on the Mk IC and Mk IC-1. There is also an airvent on the back of the pilot seat, to supply it with air when used on planets with high or low atmosphere. Can sustain up to 1.1G of gravity safely, I've not tested above that.

This is a fairly agile ship, can be said that it won't turn on a dime, as it literally won't. Strengths are forward thrust and downward thrust, so use those as primary movement. Its got left/right control, and backwards control, as well as two thrusters to allow downward movement on a server. But if you use this particular version on a server, you are insane. Or have pleased Clang.
