With the wonders of modern technology, I have transfered Byzantine names and fleets from EU4 (which includes pretty much all of them from CK2 as well) and made them usable in Stellaris. Also includes a relatively minor chance of getting Armenian and Georgian names, and an even smaller chance of getting Khazar, Gothic, and Norse names, since the Byzantines interacted with and mingled with many groups over their long history.

Updated to 2.2.*, changes include:
Added name for occupation armies.
Added many new planet names, mainly episcopal sees from Byzantine Egypt prior to the Islamic conquest but also a few others
Cleaned up a few lines

sorry, i asked for an update without testing it first, it still works fine. if you have any ideas for additions that would be cool, but a simple update so it isn't red on the mod manager that would be appreciated.

I'm on spring break now so I will update it. Is there anything in particular you want to see? Otherwise it should still be fully functional, and I'll just change it so it won't show up as outdated. If I forget to update it someone remind me again.

I will try to work on updating it soon, school has me a bit busy but I don't think it should be too hard once I have time.

I made this mod immediately after the game came out because it was pretty easy, I don't really know anything about adding symbols to the flag designer. I do know there are some mods out there that have some Byzantine flags in them, so I'd give that a look.
