If you ever make a followup or a sequel to this I'd like it to be harder if you may.
I saw that nice atmosphere in the first monster room and got scared! xD
I will play this mod tonight! I don't think I will survive! :D
I saw the patrol of the first monster, and that wasn't this good, so will give this mod 8/10!
Why 8/10?
- I also created some custom stories for Amnesia - The dark descent!
So, I know how hard it is for create a mod. ;)
(When I'm done with this mod, if the other enemies are scripted well I will change the vote to 9/10)
And the mod feels too short! :/
Anyways, nice work! As I said, I will enjoy this! ;)
And were the trigger areas that close to the doors? The only doors you can get squashed by are the bulkheads and they close really slow, but I'll see if people don't like it and might change it. And the coding might not be that good, as I just set different entities active only saying it was teleporting. I don't know that much of it so there are probably easier ways to do this.
I understand the ending could be better, but this was just a short map I made before I released blackout. Anyway, thanks for letting me know on these issues, they sort of slipped my mind when I was making this.

Escape the Monsters is a short but suprisingly ambitious mod for SOMA. You are set in a simple looking enviroment with a terminal telling you that you need four items to get an omnitool and, well, escape the monsters.
Pros:
- Impressive coding for the item teleportation
- Nice color schemes for the hallway and main area (nice touch with the Omicron symbol btw)
- Varied enemy encounters in each room
Cons:
- Some of the monsters (the Flesher especially) don't lend themselves to good stealth gameplay when they don't have much walk cycles, I had to put some of them in alert mode just to bipass them
- The trigger areas when the door closes you in are too far into the door (especially the large ones), I almost got squished
- The Akers enemy placement was cliched and unnessesary, you could've just ended with a credits sequence or even just a teleport to the main menu
7/10
