Strident-class Heavy Frigate (Small Grid, Shielded)

The Strident-class heavy frigate is an escort classification in the UNSC Navy. It is best suited to front-line combat duty and ship escort.

History
After the Human-Covenant War, the UNSC needed new ships to replace the hundreds lost in the conflict. As their technology advanced, so did their ship designs. The Strident is one of the first human ship designs to be equipped with shield technology, reverse-engineered from Forerunner tech. Well armed, the Strident is effective at escorting and supporting a fleet. Infinity, the UNSC's prototype dreadnought, can house a small fleet of Stridents in her hull.

Tactics
When fielded in larger numbers, Strident-class frigates can screen a formation, engaging Covenant frigates and destroyers while allowing more powerful UNSC destroyers and cruisers to focus fire on the larger Covenant cruisers and carriers.

To use this ship: Access via antenna or control panel on the "bridge", and remote control.

When docking with Infinity, remote control the frigate and turn off all of its thrusters, otherwise it will greatly impede the ship (and very likely blow the whole damn thing UP!)
