Casual Alyx Vance

I once had a dream that on workshop there was Alyx Vance wearing different clothes, separate addons, but regardless. From that dream I eventually thought about if no one would make Alyx with different clothes, then I'll be the one... -The Merry Dr. (used to be Phanto)

...and here it is; Casual Alyx. :3 (even though her outfits on the second model aren't really casual)

There are two models complete with bodygroups; C_Alyx and C_Alyx2. The second one is mostly full outfits, such as police uniform, firefighter, etc. There aren't any skins, sadly, because I already hit the maximum level of materials which is 32, another reason why there are two models. There are also glasses, gloves, and even wedding rings as misc bodygroups for both models.


I respect Valve's characters, especially Alyx. Seeing mods that turn Alyx into some super-model or Fake Factory, sicken me. I can't stand people ruining Alyx's decency that Valve made her. And that is not what this mod contains. It is, and only ever will be, simple and decent Casual Alyx. Anyone who requests otherwise will get their comments deleted.

I appreciate it if people don't abuse this addon (abuse meaning doing offensive pictures/dupes, please, just don't).

FAQ:

Q: Will you make playermodel/npc?
A: No. I won't, at least not at the moment (using model manipulator won't work for these).

Q: What's the Gordon in the pictures with a normal suit and proper hair?
A: My custom Gordon :3 (or aka Casual Gordon)

Q: Why is the dress, police uniform, etc. full outfits?
A: Because I needed to make sure I wouldn't have too many bodygroups, there is a limit you know.

Known Issues:

-The back neck seam is the most visible with some clothes, but not noticeable from a certain distance. Unfortunately there are some noticeable seam lines on the front of the neck as well, this is because of bodygroups, the body is not attached to the head, which if it were, the seams wouldn't really be noticeable. As for the one on the v-neck area, its not my fault, neither can I fix these seam problems.

-Her hands may clip with some of the long sleeved clothing while posing.

-Her arms are a bit shorter compared to her original model.

-There aren't any procedural bones, like normal Alyx has, I ran into a bug I couldn't fix. :(

So you know, rigging the body (the Fuse body, and clothes) took me a few days, but not in a row, mostly here and there. Still, it took a lot of hard work. I can't even remember how long ago it was when I first started, probably last year.
