Fixed Squad Size

Start the game with a full squad of six troops.
However, the GTS no longer offers upgrades to unlock more.

This is a significant boost to the early game, but the advantage fades over time. It's meant to be paired with difficulty-increasing mods which might feel impossible early on, especially in Gatecrasher.

Existing save compatibility:

This will work, however: if you've unlocked a squad size upgrade, all your GTS upgrades will be cleared. You will have to buy them again, using console commands to compensate for the supplies. Unfortunately, Firaxis has provided no way to remove individual GTS unlocks.

Compatibility Notes:

This does not override any classes. However, it does modify the squad selection UI to remove the GTS upgrade reminder slots. I've done my best to try to keep it compatible, but I can't guarantee anything.
