Ardanian Civil War

描述
A five player free for all with four computer controlled opponents. Destroy all of the opposing kingdoms to win. Computer controlled kingdoms start from a single palace and build their kingdom differently every game. Computers follow the same in game restrictions for building that players must and also make use of spells from any temple they happen to build.

I can't get this or the similar 1v1 version Strife to work. Both crash within a few seconds of starting. Other workshop maps work just fine for me, it is only these ones with enemy kingdoms that crash in this way.

Put a huge bounty on the enemy palace and their own rogues and other AI will do your work for you

I completed the quest with all three temple alignments, and Krolm was by far the fastest. Set reward flags on their palace and ignore everything else, unless they have a wizard's guild - destroy that first because a single lightning storm can devastate your heroes. Also build some mausoleums so you can bring back your powered-up units. As Thunderforge said, using your own wizard towers to lightning storm the enemy can help out a lot too

A neat quest, but *definitely* not a Beginner rank. Probably Expert instead. I wound up using Wizards Towers to cheese things, particularly if I could get one close enough to a palace to kill peasants.

I think it mostly felt like busywork towards the end though, so I'm not sure I would recommend it in the end.

Nope. Crashes within a day, tried some other modded quest (War of Four Worlds) and it worked, so that's not a general issue. This quest's structure seems different - doesn't have a GPL folder and anything that would go into it, but has a .bcd file which to me suggests that GPL files are required for it to work. I'm trying to learn Majesty modding so I might try and rebuild that at some point, unless someone more experienced does it first or I find an alternative.

Have you tried other maps as well? It sounds like it may be a general issue then

Crashes to desktop within a day, without fail. No other mods enabled.
