EK44B Phantom (Stealth Bomber)

The EK44 Phantom is the spiritual successor to the Firebird long range bomber, it's distinctive twin engines and delta wing have a striking resembelance to the latter. However, the Phantom is much heavier and slightly slower because of it's more armored frame and heavier payload of 16 RGO200A-'Harpoon' radar guided anti-ship bombs and two Okerion Zeus 100x48 armor piercing cannons mounted under the engines.

In addition the Phantom has an almost doubled operating ceiling of about 0.5 to 0.6 kilometers, however this comes at a cost to efficiency as the upgraded turbojets and vernor engines required to cruise at such high altitudes are much less efficient than those of the Firebird. Of course at this altitude the threat from surface targets is almost nonexistent and very few intercept missiles are able to climb far enough to reach it. Despite that the Phantom is also equipped with basic cluster flare launchers to ward off any air to air missiles that may be fired by small fighters nearby.
