SUPERSEDED BY MORE NATIONS AND NAMES, which is a merger of this mod and Immersive Names by james.h.tanner. Link to WotC version (vanilla/LW2 version also available): https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1124284135

Last updated 20/1/17. Adds all UN member states + 8 more. Compatible with Long War 2 and, I'm told, with WotC.

Includes flags, names and surnames (26000+ across 118 custom namelists), and a custom rebalance of all countries' UnitWeight (chance of showing up), even for default nations. This mod does not alter vanilla namelists; Turkish soldiers using American names, and other such problems, is a vanilla bug fixed in the aforementioned More Nations and Names.

MNM is compatible with other nation mods, even if they add the same nations, due to MNM countries and namelists using a unique identifier. You would obviously end up with duplicate nations, however. Check the ReadMe for how to make MNM compatible with mods that alter the default nations.

Thanks to Amineri for tips on /r/xcom2mods, to Baric for his Finland mod (which helped me figure out textures) and Sgt. Nutcracker for his New Countries mod (which helped me figure out namelists).

Check out More Nations and Names WotC

It combines an updated "More Nations" (adds 166) with "Immersive Names" (Which helps make random soldiers' names better fit their nationality).

Fully WotC compliant version linked, and that page has a link to a Vanilla/LW2 version if needed.

I hate to be ''that guy'' since the last update was about two years ago, but this mod could use an update.
My cannon fodder is only being recruited from this mod's nations and none from the vanilla nations like the US or China.
The vanilla nations are still a customize option, but vanilla nation flags have this weird paper-ish texture, though I don't know if that's from this mod or just what happens when any flag mod is installed.
The mod works with War of the Chosen, so don't worry about it. This is some good ♥♥♥♥ either way.
