RPG D&D Dwarven Dungeon

A very rich merchant has hired you to obtain an old relique for his collection from the abandoned Dwarven Caverns.
The dwarves used to flourish in these hills, but their greed and love for gold had them turn on themselves, bloodshed soon followed and the once proud inhabitants of this place were cast away far and wide. The Halls layed uninhabited for years until creatures like Ghouls, Orcs and Goblins found a home in them, murdering everything in sight, including themselves. Great Halls of treasure are said to lay here, untouched for decades.
All you know about your Relique is that it is in a small wooden chest ontp of a Table in an old Dining hall.
