Images from player boards and pieces scanned by myself

To use the counters on the player boards, lock the board and hold left click over either the heart or VP disc while spinning the mouse wheel.

What does "VP" mean. I am new to TTS. ALso, i noticed when you are holding the player card AND press L to lock it. When you unlock it, it's still remains locked and does not fall. How do you fix this without having to reload the entire game again?
