We have yet another Quake 1-ish map. This time with high-res textures in TGA format which makes for a pretty big download. Layout is similar to The Place of Two Deaths (dm1) from Quake 1. Some platforms are present and it would not be a great redux if there wasn't a trap. The trap requires the latest version of ioquake3 to be installed and used otherwise the trap will be only a visual effect.

The high-res textures are of a darker tone and help to produce a great atmosphere over the entire map. Layout is well constructed. The teleporters are like those found in Quake 1, Quake 2 and Quake Live. Bots route the map without any visible flaws and are pretty tough to beat.

Items are balanced, especially Megahealth, that requires a jump over lava. Yellow Armor is sitting on a separated platform requiring bouncing over pillars. There is even a secret place with some Easter eggs.

Pretty interesting map with an interesting theme. If you are fan of Quake 1 looking map, don't miss this one.
