The Railway system was a important mechanic to World War Two, able to rapidly transport large amounts of troops and war machines across the continent, These industrial wonders became priority targets for the super powers of the time, though impossibly difficult to reach given the front line positons.

It fell upon resistance fighters who operated far behind enemy lines to try and ambush armored trains that had been converted into mobile fortress that bristled with machine gun nests and Flak turrets. These raids did not always end in success.

In the end the Railway would just show the strength of Industry and have these trains and there supplies replaced within a month prompting resistance fighters to attack closer to the industrial center... Round Houses were the center of railroad maintenance & management, Attacks here would not see the railway so easily recovered.
