LOTR Soundtrack (Original)

Lord of the Rings soundtrack. This mod replaces the old AOE soundtrack with LOTR music. Just subscribe to the thread and you should be good. Dont forget they are taking the hobbits to Isengard.

Furthermore this soundtrack will no longer be edited or changed. All changes to this pack will only be additions to the soundtrack NOTHING will be removed or replaced.

If you would like to make a soundtrack of your own simply go to your steam library and right click AOE, then select properties -> Local Files -> Browse Local Files. There you can select mods folder which should be empty. In this folder make a new folder and call it the name of your soundtrack. In your new folder simply create the file path:

resources/_common/sound/music

In the music folder you can make any mp3 with the name xmusic1, xmusic2… all the way to xmusic23. Every mp3 with one of these names will act as the original soundtrack with that name when it becomes its turn. For example xmusic1 will replace the first song that plays while xmusic5 will replace the fifth. Once you have finished adding the music just load up the game and open the steam workshop and find your new mod. There you can select the Publish Mod button and it should be simple enough from there.

If you wish to edit the menu soundtracks make a new folder called stream in the sound folder and here are the possible name replacements:

countdwn.mp3
credits.mp3
lost.mp3
lost_x2.mp3
open.mp3
town.mp3
won1.mp3
won1_x2.mp3
won2.mp3
won2_x2.mp3
xcredits.mp3
xopen.mp3
xopen_x2.mp3
xopen_x3.mp3
xopen_x4.mp3
xtown.mp3
