gm_Ripley_In_Craven (village)

Welcome to Sweet Little Ripley, or Ripley In Craven, in Upper Wharfedale in The Yorkshire Dales in North Yorkshire, yes, I had to do it again, AND IN CRAVEN DISTRICT AGAIN!! Pardon Me.....anyway, this small little village of about 250 people lies in Upper Whafedale, 1 mile south of Houghton In Craven and 5 miles south of Grassington. Here is a few things this sweet place contains.

Parish Church of St Cuthbert, the tower makes it look somewhat identical to St Mary The Virgin Church, Thornton In Craven, and the tower design is similar to Skipton, Gargrave, Burnsall, Kirkby Malham, Elslack. Hampsthwaite, Whixley and Pyroville(?) Inside is the treasures of some beautiful wood fittings, and a 2 manual pipe organ built by Peter Conacher of Huddersfield in 1891, (but I recorded it's sounds off the Brindley and Foster organ of St Mary, Carleton In Craven!) as well as beautiful chandeliers and a ring of Six bells that can be heard.
Ripley Community Center, originally the oldest Methodist Chapel in Upper Wharfedale, until it was closed in 1971, and during the 70s, the locals battled to have it saved and used as their village hall, and so it was, and there is another pipe organ, an 1882 2 manual organ of Laycock and Bannister of Keighley, that can be used for many things *I still recorded it's sound off Carleton's Brindley and Foster Organ XD*
The Vicarage, that's where the Reverend lives, DUH!! There is even a small chapel he built in his vicarage, and a few rooms to go into. Also a song plays on the radio as well!
Houses.
A Pub, well, you know what to do when there is a pub in a village, DRINK! YEEHAW!
A Cafe, for all those tourists and locals needing a snack or a drink......
And some houses are even holiday cottages......
