Mario_kart 2012 is one of the lesser-known modifications to the strangely popular map, "mario_kart", and personally my favorite of them all.

Why?

Simply the sheer amount of creativity put into this -
The middle building is now 6 floors tall, with each having something unique from the others...

The spawns, in addition to each being given a decicated floating-tank thing, also now have tubes, that with any air-strafing skill, can land you anywhere you want to be, and quickly...

Even the racing track itself got some new "cloud" vehicles...

There's plenty else changed as well.

My improvements to 2012 (and subsqeuentially day_b19a) are the additions of using bspzip, and packing the songs into the bsp itself.

So, anyway, download and have fun!

1.Go to your steam directory.
- Usually, it can be found at either C:\Program Files or C:\Program Files (x86). If one dosen't work, than it is likely the other one.
2.From there, go to your_steam_directory\SteamApps\workshop\content\440, and search for .bsps. (.bsp)
- You'll want to copy for this: "mario_kart_2012a".
3.Then, go to your_steam_directory\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\maps and paste the map files.

To play the map, either: (After game launch)
1.Go to the Controls section of Options.
2.Go to Advanced.
3.Check "Enable Developer Console".
4.Press the ~(tilda) key. It should be above TAB, and below ESCAPE.
5.Type inside the developer console: "map mario_kart_2012a".
- If it does not appear, you likely did not paste the map into the correct location. Remember, "your_steam_directory\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\maps".
6.Use the arrow keys to select the part you want.
7.Press enter, and enjoy!

4a.
1.Go to the plus inside the SERVERS button
2.Click on the Map field, and change the map to "mario_kart_2012a".
- If it does not appear, you likely did not paste the map into the correct location. Remember, "your_steam_directory\Steam\SteamApps\common\Team Fortress 2\tf\maps".
3.Click on the Start button, and enjoy!
