The Foldwing Fighter!

Uploading my first foldwing to the workshop! This is the X-1 Shadowcaster, equipped with 5 grenades and a pair of foldable wings for extremely graceful flying.

The two stages of the Shadowcaster allows diffrent flightstyles. Having the wings withdrawn makes them closer to the body, reducing the resistance when rolling. On the other hand, having the wings unfolded improves pitching and allows the Shadowcaster to glide without losing altitude. Experiment with the diffrent stages to find your way of playing.

Also, don't touch anything with the wrench...
Controls:
  • Thrust with X
  • Extend wings holding B
  • Withdraw wings pressing N

  • Pitch with T & G
  • Roll with F & H
  • Yaw with R & Y

  • Drop Grenades with U
  • Detonate grenades with J

  • 1/12-15
    Minor rearrangements to improve wings sticking to position.

I think that it is very good, but you have a problem where the roll control is not full, but only half engaged, so you turn rly slow.

I love that craft ! It's truly the most elegant and nicest one of them all. One Craft to rule them all. Lord of the Crafts ! I love the idea of the opening and closing wings. But I admit that sometimes they get stuck, so if you could better that, it'd be the best of bests !

Could you kind of explain in detail the way that you do that? I didn't really understand how do you mod one of the blocks to be stronger..

I don't. There's only one block modded to be stronger.

how do you make it so the propeller blocks don't push themselves out when placed inside eachother?

This thing is really awesome. It's very responsive and the two flight styles can make for some pretty cool maneuvers when combined. My favorite Besiege Workshop mod so far.
