The MV-85A1 (Vanilla) V/STOL Short Range Support / Assault Platform is a well balanced, easy to fly short range support and assault air to ground gunship.

During transitions to Hover Mode ensure that your nose is as level to the ground as possible. While switching to Cruise Mode tilt forward to gain forward momentum - don't be shy about using the space bar to help. Once forward momentum is sufficient simply point your nose to where you'd like to go.

In Hover mode:
Thrust Override:
135kN to hover with very slow and negligible rate of ascent.
107kN is well suited to a slow descent as well as landing.
Otherwise she is fairly well balanced - any slight tilt while hovering is exacerbated as with real helicopters if unchecked over time - More or less fly like a helo in hover mode.

In Cruise mode:
Max thrust override in the toolbar with the four key, ensure your dampeners are on, and don't be afraid of the space bar. Once you build up enough speed she flies herself. Simply angle and bank your turns and don't be afraid of the space bar while slaloming between mountains.

If you lose an engine pod don't panic! Detach the other rotor - the vehicle is well balanced and capable of making a landing without them if you shed their weight.
