Issued with standard HL-01 hovering jetpacks and pressurized helmets with air-breathers, this trooper is designed to be deployed from high altitudes. This unit’s jetpack is always somewhat on. It can stay in the air for a prolonged time and strafe the skies carrying heavy weapons with ease.

Deploy with caution in low gravity.

Finally, Because I like Void Wanderers so much I’m including a script to make the Airborne Trooper buyable on the Coalition side. Check the README in AirForce.rte/BONUS to find out more.



UPDATE: In the readme I said that i was unsure how the AI would work with these; after a lot of playing the troopers are VERY deadly in the hands of the AI. They will strafe you relentlessly with vanilla weapons and are extremely effective at chasing. Even their dead bodies can give you a hard time.

They are weak to mass-based weapons though, and as such they can still die in stupid ways.
