It isn't appearing in my mods folder

If you guys can't find it in your map options, exit the game and head over to your documents folder. Find the Civ V folder, open mods and find the folder of the mod (should be New Vegas or something). Move the map file in that folder to map folder.

will not pop up, can you explain? please dont tell me i have to go digging through data to pull out the map and save that as a shortcut on my laptop, dude, if that is the case that kinda defeats the point of having this mod.
