Driftleech Guard Drone

The Driftleech is a somewhat simple experimental guard baloon. It is somewhat armoured but has no defensive weaponry or shields. Instead it is very lightweight and somewhat cheap for mid-game, allowing you to deploy a expendible cluster of them above key strategic locations.

When a ship is detected within a 60 degree arc beneath the balloon a cluster of harpoon tentacles will deploy to trap and potentially tear apart any small/medium vehicles beneath it. One Driftleech can snatch ships as large as Paddlegunners and Jacob's Folleys, and if a ship is still too heavy for one or more of them to harpoon they will dive down and use their drills to finish the job.
