For an early alpha, the assets and atmosphere are surprisingly well-made and show potential. Even though it’s been a decade, I personally think this could be an interesting mod to play if development ever continues.
hole in wall where you keep falling for ever
no stairs leading to the next room
I'm not saying give up on this mod, but if you're just dreaming and not creating, you need to think about if you're going to make mods. Ask yourself, is this possible to make with hpl level editor? If you don't know the basics of this and only have a story, you should learn about the editor, and make a small mod with a basic objective to upload. From there on, you will upload even better mods, instead of trying to learn all of this for one big project as your first SOMA mod.
I don't know how much you know, but if you don't know how to use the editor, just look up basic tutorials on youtube from frictional games, to get the hang of it. If you want to learn anything specific from the scripting, a key element is looking back at previous work to see how it was done.
