Cincinnati

Cincinnati is a river city located on the Ohio river in Ohio, USA. It reached its peak in the early 19th century as one of America's first boomtowns and was one of the first cities in the USA to match the size and wealth of the coastal cities. Throughout the 19th century Cincinnati was one of the top 10 most populated cities in the USA. It was also the first American city founded after the American Revolution. This combined with its inland location makes Cincinnati one of the first truely American cities.

It was largely founded by German immigrants whose influence still remains in the city today. It has numerous Bavarian inspired restaurants and houses numerous festivals of German origin. Each year it hosts the largest Oktoberfest festival outside of Germany.
