Submarine HMS Vendance - EnterElysium

The HMS Vendance was comissioned to meet a growing demand for a weapons platform able to hide from enemy retaliatory strikes. Typically hiding at a depth of a little under -100m the Vendance is equipped with a large number of long and medium range missiles as well as several low-yield mines and a number of different torpedo systems; the Vendance is very heavily armed. Despite this the Vendance is still capable of reaching a nippy 15m/s at its operational depth allowing it to strike deep (pun intended) within enemy territory and respond to threats where needed.

The flaws are the Vendance are fairly few, like most submarines the Vendance is incredibly compact meaning that any penetration damage will likely impair combat efficiency and the large ammo stores that have to be kept are a huge liability to the ships combat effectiveness if hit. To counter this the armour around the primary ammo store is double layered and the sub features partial shield coverage over sensitive areas to allow it time to dive when the enemy are first engaged.

Edit: Updated to use the LUA guidance system for both sets of vertical launching missile. They are now far more reliable and will follow multiple different vectors to their target.
