On very large maps such as this KFO with multiple planets the SDK gets very tanky and slow and crashes a lot. Just opening the map and trying to do anything takes an eternity... much slower than it was when I built it in a 32bit environment. And even then it was tanky but manageable.

Also just rebuilding the map and throwing in a couple of things isn't that simple on more complex maps.

I run SDK on windows 7 64-bit environment......yes I guess it sometimes crashes when trying to test the map out through the editor (or at times opening a map file)but if you just not test it through there and just boot up your steam copy of the game and test from there, it should be fine, granted that those are extra steps to circumvent the crashes.......but other than that, it's smooth sailing.....ish...

Yeah that's the part I need you to fix because you're the author and I am not.... Just went through some logs and people saying the map's broken because nothing happens after they get inside the house.....which is not the case....the players just need an obvious sign.......that says " All players must stand in front of the TV" or something similar...

No, and I won't be doing it any time soon due to my old computer having some files needed for the upload. The best I could do is upload a new map with the fixes, and even then I have been having issues with the SDK in a 64 bit environment. Tanks and crashes a lot for me.

The map still works, but it really isn't clear that the whole team needs to stay in the living room in front of the TV to trigger it.

ok, well if you check out the KF-RUN! maps by EnriqueSW, you can see it for yourself as he makes maps and this also has the blue tint effect....

He says it's impossible to fix, but I think he might be just not knowledagable enough as I am sure there's a way to fix this as there were other maps that had puddles of water I jumped into, screen turned blue, but as soon as I got out of the puddle, screen untints itself and colour becomes normal....though I can't recall which map(s) this was on so I can't forward you to those map to test.... :/

Not really sure about that unless I saw it myself. Could be a lighting thing, don't really know. None of my maps use underwater... though I know you can set the color of the water zone in its properties.

I have question regarding mapping, and nothing to do with this particular map - you know how when you jump into a water volume(or whatever it's called in the SDK - I haven't yet made a proper map from it with all these bits and pieces...heh) and the screen tints blue, right? There's a way to reset that back removing the blue tint once you get out, right? Because I swear on one of the maps I once played, there wa a puddle of water, and I jump into it, screen goes blue because you're in water and then when you get back out, the screen untints and you're back to normal....without the blue tint still affecting you...

Just that on some maps, once you jump into this water volume, the screen tints blue and stays like that until you die, even if you get out of it.....

Ohhhh, ok so that's what the 3 minute wait is for.....fair enough....but that's if you survive till then and still have left over cash to buy pipes....hahahaha But during this time, it does not point to a trader to go to, though the destination target seems to be out of reach....

Heh, that's what you get for trying out the new windows version and an old game...... :steammocking:

The long trader is to give you time to place explosives etc. I think that is the time you mean anyway. Having issues with win 10 and the SDK for the maps. Probably need to make a new map upload for any changes, but still working on getting the map improved! Glad you are enjoying it!

Hmmm, I noticed that the patty's eyeball serves no purpose other than to pick it up for the hell of it? Ahaha Also what's with the 3 minutes wait on the "Prepare your bladder for release" section? Oh right...but it doesn't take that long for Shenron to grant their wish, does it? hahahaha
