Note: This mod currently clashes with this mod: http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=184966056&searchtext=hyrule due to uses of the word hyrule. I have uploaded an edited version of my mod which replaces all instances of the word "Hyrule" with the word "Dinnerland" to avoid conflict, which can be found here:

however, it may have a few small issues compared to the original, so please use my original mod if you are not using the Hyrule mod.



Requires Brave new world.

Adds King Harkinian from the CD-I Zelda games as a playable civ!

Major update: 26/08/2015

Reworked the civ! the following changes were made!

Dinner hall: removed. The king now has a regular granary. The dinner hall was flat out overpowered, especially at sea. All tiles gave far too much food and at sea, a dinner hall and lighthouse would cause all ocean tiles to grant +3 food, and grassland tiles would also give +3 food allowing the king to essentially have infinite growth with just one building. far far too overpowered. however, the king now has...

new building: Dinner shrine, replaces the Shrine

+2 faith, +2 Food, +1 happiness, replaces the shrine!
The new shrine allows the king to still grow slightly more than other civs, and gain an extra bit of faith to start him off. Spread the religion of dinner around people! The +1 happiness is to allow the shrine to pay for itself in happiness.

Trait: no longer gives science from farms. after playing a few games recently i realised this was overpowered as hell! and his food from great person tile improvements was fine enough as a UU on its own so i decided to keep that as the sole UU.

A special thanks to everyone for the huge popularity spike this mod got during its first week. while it has fallen in popularity a bit now, I never though my mod would get so many views and downloads so fast!

UI kinda sucks, I rarely get to use great people improvements (or have enough to justify growth via 2 food each), but the uniques are really good though.

Ah well, I'm starting my next game and I picked The King so I guess I'll see how that goes

hmm must have accidently removed it from the description during an editing fail. it's the dinner blaster, slightly stronger bazooka with extra range.

Oh thx, sorry about the late comment. Also have you seen Achille12345's videos on YouTube? they are action "story" YTP with DBZ inspration, very comparable (but less known) to the Mario Bros Z series. They would probably give you MANY ideas if you want to expand this mod or do more like it based on the CD-I games. Also not sure about the friend invite, we don't have any common games other then Civ and like you it's not my "main" game, but w/e I'll acept it.

@Giga Phoenix I made an edited version of my mod which should no longer conflict with the hyrule mod. The conflict was used due to both mod using the word "hyrule" for important keywords in the script, as such I renamed all instances of "hyrule" to "dinnerland." it's due to the name of my mod, hyrule, If you want I can make an edited version for you where i rename all uses of the word "hyrule" to "Dinner" as an example so that they can coexist

Hey I want to let you know that this civ overwrites http://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=184966056&searchtext=zelda
Which is a serous civ about Nintendo's orginal Zelda games' Hyrule. I was hoping to do a videogame civs. let's play (knowing that CD-I is completely differnt from Nintendo) But for now I have to disinclude this or the other from it because of this bug. And I did confirm that it is just these two mods that conflict from what I used.
