thanks any way
If you want to play the map for yourself, you can either create a local server in the mein menu and choose the map there. Or by console - as you seem to know.
( just in case )
In any case you need to have the map of course. It should be located in your map folder.
(steam/steamapps/common/TeamFortress2/tf/maps)
The current file name is "cp_orange_x3_fuS_b2.bsp"
The download itself did work for friends of mine and i guess for anyone else who downloaded it so far. If it still doesn't work for you, I actually don't know why this could be.
I can only imagine that steam downloads workshop-maps in the wrong folder for you..
Try to unsubscribe/subscribe to redownload the map. In case it still isn't available ingame,
try to locate it in the map folder or by searching the file on your hard drive.
As stated before: My goal was to learn about the hammer editor and only add some tweaks.
There are plenty of other variations which are less similar to the original
and add more cover, height or even underground areas to the layout.
This one just extends the lines of what is already there and keeps the same wallpapers
for the Orange-fanatics who call _x3 their living room.
I hope my tweaks make some changes to the map dynamics, see intentions in description.
The map is optimized to be able to jump across the playble area without being blocked.
I don't think I will touch Orange again anytime soon, just started my first own layout.
Thx for the feedback though.
@byvsen in general? go to workshop in the main menu of tf2
