Lore: Born the runt of his litter, Snorts spent his puppyhood as many pugs do: sleeping excessively and hunting feverishly for food, followed by the ever important napping. One day however, a scourge fell upon the land where he and his fellow pugs ran free. Sighting the evil ones who bore this curse to his home, Snorts charged towards them, while all his peers fled. There, he stood alone against the uncouth creatures. He, the smallest of his kind, fought bravely and with courage beyond his stubby stature. While he managed to repel the beasts, Snorts suffered grave wounds, and laid shivering in the mud on the battlefield. Some legends tell of a passing knight who witnessed the battle, and upon seeing the lionhearted pup’s virtue nursed him back to health; other tales claim that Snorts was purified by the All Seeing One, the Omniscience, itself for his bravery against the darkness. Whichever the case, it is known that when a dog is in trouble, from man, beast, or demon, a snort can be heard in the distance and an aura of light appears to fight against the darkness, a furry guardian angel to defend against the weak. All dogs go to heaven, but Squire Snorts the Omnipug brings heaven down upon Earth.
