What exactly do you mean by "ore" collector? A normal collector? A collector should be totally fine yes.

Any complications I might come through if I try adding an ore collector connected with the refinery? (By the look of the description, it's not included. Correct me if I'm wrong)

Although i have to say that in my opinion the ship is oriented too much on the vanilla spawning ship, i really like the design and even the longer time i use it.
It could work with less industrial equipment and more as a survival pod/shuttle :)

I've made this ship...it's AWESOME !! Beautyful view from within

Everything is onboard...the whole series of HHI is well desiged. Maybe you can make also design a small mining vessel in this series, or a mining drone attached to this ship ;-)
