Best thing EVER!!! played a little bit longer with it. :) Would be Cool if you could make the big ones(top spin) and then with not so fast speed.

Can you ride with the restraints up? Ride the ride with them open?

Normally there should be text on the sign which tells you that you have to press 'Next Train' (T in the default NL2 settings) to close the harness, 'Fly Forward' (W by default) and 'Fly Backward' (S) to move the arm forward an backward and 'Jump' (Space) to lock the gondola rotation. I'm not sure what could be wrong when it's not visible on your system.
