- More, smaller colonial regions throughout the Americas, based off historic territories.
- New colonial regions in South Africa and the Philippines
- Colonial nations now form instantaneously after a colony is completed
- Tweaked trade winds to be more realistic and also promote colonizing the Americas (particularly Brazil) over Africa/Australia and make it harder for Europeans to round the Cape.
- Events that keep colony's borders within their regions
- Simulation of large-scale colonial revolts among many regional colonies that can ally against their overlord
- Overhauled decisions to form colonial nations like the USA, UPCA, or Brazil

This feature is in ongoing development.
