Scorched (ARENA) - Major Update!

This map would work better as a koth map.

It is too large for arena and the capture point takes forever to capture for how vulnerable you are in the open and to the lava hazard.

Thanks for the advice Zeusington! I've actually been working on a large update that hopefully addresses those particular issues. Some layout changes and some more space should help balance. I'll throw you a message when the update releases.

I ran this map for a few days, and though I liked it alot many of my players deemed the lava pit crossover too narrow and obstructed for smooth gameplay, and Pyros definitely dominate around the point as airblasting into the lava is quite easy. Perhaps some additional chains or metal debris about the center for people to land on closer to the point proper?

Besides that, the sniper huts and large hallways in each base were great combat venues. Great map with great detail, but may not be everybody's cup of tea gameplay-wise.

KOTH version would be lush :D

I remember playing this map a lot, it was really fun

We need a CTF version

@Cosmi I'm not aware of a server playing this yet. I will probably do one more update and push this to more servers for gameplay testing.
