Place two of these directly opposite each other on any 2 lane road to create a Subway/Pedestrian Underpass under the road.

So is this using the pink paths that metro stations use? If so, although it is designed to simply allow cims to cross the road "underground" it might actually connect to those metro paths should the paths from this cross metro paths? If that is the case then this might allow extra entrances to a metro on the opposite side of a small street.
