Skadi's Lament

European map.

Mountains by the sea with plenty of small flat valleys to discover beneath the conifers and to place mountain villages, ore or timber industries. It is flanked by a river that empties into a shallow bay, and a highway crosses through a mountain pass out to a large open fertile valley. There is moderately sized island off the coast which can be reached by a bridge.

The map was hand painted with erosion effects applied using World-Machine. This is my first serious attempt at map design, so please forgive any mistakes I may have left. Feedback is welcome. Enjoy!

Njörðr:
