And I agree, it has the blade length of a Nodachi, not a Katana.

I will try, but right now I'm working on another sword from another series I've been hooked on recently. Also, the video you sent me is a bit outdated, so the bone name in the video is not the one used now, however, I found the base game files (official game swords) and am about to decompile them to find the bone name that way (they have to be using the right bone names).

There are guide on how to make sword for BS, which includes on how to upload scabbards onto BS as well.
