d4_streetwar_01 - Half-Life 2 Beta

d4_streetwar_01 is one of the maps featured in the Half-Life 2 Beta that takes place during the original storyline. It was meant to take place just after exiting the Skyscraper in the "Vertigo" section of the game and where Gordon Freeman would encounter the Rebels who, began to fight the Combine alongside the Conscripts in an all-out war for the destruction of the Combine Citadel.

The objective is to move through the streets of City 17 and head towards a plaza that leads to a destroyed building. Along the way you will encounter Rebels, Metrocops and Combine Soldiers duking it out in an attempt to control the city. Health packs and ammo have been placed around the map allowing you to play all the way through.

HGrunt has restored the map by fixing many of the broken models and textures allowing the map to be played all the way through. Several lighting enhancements made been made compared to the original map found in the Leak.

UPDATE - 18/05/2015 - The Workshop upload has been updated so that now the map comes with a .NAV file. NPC's and Custom NPC's are now freely able to roam the map.
