Alpine

This map is based on the town of Alpine, Wyoming. The town straddles the border between Idaho and Wyoming (which runs north/south) and sits at the edge of Palisades Reservoir. The reservoir is fed by the Snake River, which is joined by Greys river just before, on the east edge of the map. It empties both northward through Palisades Dam to continue the Snake River, and southward branching off as Salt River.

I've personally visited this area more than a few times in my life to go camping and fishing, and it brings back good memories. The scale in real life is definitely smaller than what you get here, but I felt the need to blow it up for adequate building space, and to make the highways not feel overly large by comparison. I've tried to keep highway layout similar to how it is in real life, but had to add fictional versions of railway, cargo ship routes, and plane routes to make the map playable and productive.
