And yeah, not liking the general mine usability is why I removed them from BTC for now. When I put them back in they'll be high-velocity projectiles but with a high speed delta, so they move away from the ship quickly but then bleed off velocity before coming to rest in space. Should make forward-firing (or at least aimable) mine launchers viable. Plus it opens up the door for 'pseudo-mines- like launchable turrets, though mine will be dumb turrets like my drones to start with. :)
Good job with the work thus far, BTW! The electroplating mod seemed a little on the powerful side but it's nice to see more modders enterining the community, especially with a multitude of works. I'd like to start a Steam group for all of us one of these days so we can put our heads together, if desired.
I still want to mess around with turning the missile/mine turret to face the rear for better mine deployment. Tracking missiles will still work fine I'm sure and nobody should want to be flying towards a deployed nuke, whereas using mines that deploy forward has so far proven pretty useless. Maybe after I get back from my appointment with my tattooist today I'll make the changes for the skins and see how that works :)
Even makes that skin that someone wants precisely all the more precious to find! Though it does have the downside of potentially making the hull more common in shops.
