You're it!

My first Gamemode, a simple tag gamemode.
If you're it, tag other players. If not, RUN! It works like a normal game of tag, though it's pretty customizable.

Ever wanted to tag someone by punchin' him in the face? Or by a headshot with a shotgun? Or even blasting them off with a rocket launcher? Well, here we go. You can tag everyone with everything you can imagine. Without harming them of cource.


-Customizability, you can set various things to make up your own game of tag!

-Safety, you won't have to worry that all players kill each other instead of playing tag. No damage is allowed. (Expect for fall damage of course. Accidents can happen.)

-Health regeneration, so you will stay mobile.

-Freezetime, to give players who tag other players time to get the f**k off their personal space. (also customizable)

-Improved vision for players who are it, whoever is it can see other players through walls. We're playin' tag here, not hide and seek! (you can still play hide and seek with it when you turn it off via console command.)

-Visuals indicate health, you'll know when you're about to die if you can't see colors anymore. Also there is warning if you're below 30%.

-Death Messages, if you still manage to die. (Other deaths then by fall are not supported.)


-st_weapon - one of the most important commands. With this, you can choose whichever weapon you want to play with. Tagging with hands or a sniper rifle, you choose. Default: weapon_fists

-st_maxits - Set how many players can be it. Default: 1

-st_minits - Set how many players will be it. If you change this value then some players who are not it will become it.This will automatically change st_maxits since you can't have less maximum then minimum. Default: 1

-st_un_it_player - Set if the player stop being it after tagging another player. This is basically a sub-gamemode you can switch to whenever you want. If 0, players will continue being it after tagging someone and after every player has been tagged all players will be untagged. A random player will remain it and has to tag other players again. Freezetime is automatically disabled since it's not necessary. If 1, the player will pass its "it" to the player he hits and will stop being it. Default: 1

-st_freezetime - Set how long a player will stay frozen after being tagged. Default: 3

-st_wallsight - Set if the player who is it should be able to see other players through walls. Turn it off for a spontaneous hide and seek game. Default: 1

-st_halo - it has returned pretty fast. Addional halo effect for clients. If you want to see even better trough walls turn it on. This command is for every client individually so people with bad PCs can play with high framerates and people with better PCs can have fancy visuals. Default: 0

-st_respawntime - Set how long a player has to wait after he can respawn. Default: 15 (It's this high since it's pretty stupid if you manage to die. You deserve the punishment of having to wait!)

-st_allowsuicide - Set if the player can kill itself via the kill command. It can be abusive if on but can be useful with addons or maps where players like to get stuck. Default: 0


-Friends (:D). Playing with friends will be the best experience you can have. It's not fun playing with yelling, swearing idiots you may encounter.

-Imagination. This is Garry's Mod, a sandbox game with thousends of addons. Use different addons to make this your very own tag of dream. Or you can make it a huge ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Your choice.

-Wheatley's Parkour SWep. It's the f***ing best thing! (Playing a parkour-version of tag was always my dream. Why stick to the ground when you can play this game literally everywhere?)


Please let me know of any issues, errors or bad grammar in this addon. Describe them detailed. I can't fix something if I don't know whats causing the issue.


April 6th: Replaced st_halo with st_wallsight and changed its function. It now draws the players themselves instead of glowing outlines to increase the performance.
April 7th: Added additional halo effects so players with better PCs can choose to use it and fixed the problems with dedicated servers.
