VCS Beneficiation Mining Barge

The Void Corp Beneficiation Mining Barge and its quasi autonomous drones are designed for mining operations with a crew of one to two. The drones do the actual mining while the barge supports the drones and the operation as a whole with the following features:

• Drone transport
• Storage
• Limited processing capability (2 refineries and 1 arc furnace)
• Defense against meteor showers
• Ore detection
• Operations center allowing for the control of the two Comminution Mining Drones

This ship, as with all ships in the Void Corp collection, is made without mods, pistons, or rotors, and is fully compatible with survival mode.

Directions for drone launch:

1.Be sure ownership is all assigned to “me”
2.Bring barge near target asteroid but outside of drone sensor range (can be seen by turning on show sensor field option if necessary)
3.Turn on “Flight thrusters” group
4.Be sure “Drill Activation Sensors” group is on
5.Lower the ship closer to the target asteroid until you hear the alarm sound
6.Once alarm sounds start the “Mining operations initiation timer”

Directions for drone recovery:

Once the drone’s antenna changes from “Mining” to “Mining Stopped” you know the drone has finished mining what it could, you will then want to recover the drone and offload what it has mined.

1.Take remote control of the drone
2.If drone does not respond to your controls be sure the “Flight Thrusters” are on
3.View the drone’s camera
4.Fly the drone back to the barge and aim the ejectors at the collector array (in order to protect the drone from debris you may want to position it so that it is between the ship and the gravity generator that is protruding from the ship on a set of pillars
5.Once the offload is complete pilot the drone back into its bay and hit “P” to attach the drone to the barge
6.Once drones are recovered be sure “Flight thrusters” group is set to off or the drone’s inertial dampeners will fight the movement of the barge and possibly damage the ship
