Better Dwemer Metal

Omschrijving
Are you tired of exploring an ancient dwarven ruin only to become over-encumbered in the first room because the scrap metal laying around is unreasonably heavy, and you don't want to make six trips just to carry it all? Tried finding a mod to fix it but they all rename the objects to stupid crap like 'Dwemer - Lg Dec Strut', or they make everything too light which feels like cheating and ruins your suspension of disbelief?

Well, worry no more, for Better Dwemer Metals is here!

This mod rebalances the weight of Dwemer Metals to be more logical but still balanced (solid metal is heavy after all), and adds new balanced recipes for Dwarven Ingots using levers, gears, cogs, and scrap metal. With this mod, you still may get overencumbered after exploring a huge ruin like Mzinchaleft, but it's much more reasonable.

Better Dwemer Metal aims to be as unobtrusive as possible. The only changes are the weights of Dwemer metals, the names of two items, and several new ingot recipes.

Renamed items:

Dwemer Lever -> Large Dwemer Lever
Bent Dwemer Scrap Metal -> Dwemer Scrap Metal

Dwarven Ingot Recipes:

Small Dwemer Lever -> Weight 1, ingots: 1
Large Dwemer Level -> Weight 2, ingots: 2
Small Dwemer Plate Metal -> Weight 2, ingots: 3
Large Dwemer Plate Metal -> Weight 3, ingots: 4
Dwemer Scrap Metal -> Weight 2, ingots: 3
Dwemer Scrap Metal -> Weight 2, ingots: 3
Dwemer Cog -> Weight 5, ingots 3
Dwemer Gear -> Weight 2, ingots: 2
Dwemer Gyro -> Weight 2, ingots: 2
Large Dwemer Strut -> Weight 5, ingots: 4
Large Decorative Dwemer Strut -> Weight 5, ingots: 4
Solid Dwemer Metal -> Weight 10, ingots: 5

Love this mod. Any plans to convert it for Skyrim SE?

Splendificent. This is absoloutly fantastic for me, because there's another mod - Dwemertech - that gives me an ability to see strange hotspots in Dwemer Ruins that fart out a whole bunch of random Dwemer items when attacked, and it's pot luck if you get anything usable. This really helps with that.

Thank you.

@Lerox
The value of items are not changed by this mod. That's what they're worth in the base game.

looks kinda cheesy to me,solid metal gives as the screenshot implies 25 gold,the ingots 30...so,if I´d take 2 solid dwemer metal thingy´s with a worth of 50 gold together,I just could smelt them to the bars and instead of 50 gold I would get 300 gold...

Great mod. Balence feels right and not like cheating. Thank you for making my dungeon crawl less cumbersome!

@samkeena03 This mod is not a fail. People who do not want to be able to carry 15 tonnes at once will appreciate this mod. It only changes the dwemer items' weight, not give the player 1000 base carry weight.
